Creator Guidelines
Everything you need to know to run a successful, compliant campaign on CrowdRaise. Follow these guidelines to maximize your chances of success.
Our Philosophy
CrowdRaise is built on trust between creators and backers. We believe in empowering creators to bring their ideas to life while protecting the community that supports them.
These guidelines help ensure that all projects on our platform are legitimate, well-planned, and have the best chance of successful completion. Following these guidelines isn't just about compliance—it's about setting yourself up for success.
What You Must Do
Be Honest and Transparent
Clearly describe your project, its current state, and what you plan to achieve. Never misrepresent your progress or capabilities.
Set Realistic Goals
Your funding goal should accurately reflect what you need to complete the project. Include all costs: production, shipping, platform fees, and contingency.
Deliver on Promises
Fulfill all rewards as described. If changes are necessary, communicate with backers promptly and offer alternatives.
Keep Backers Updated
Post regular updates throughout your campaign and fulfillment. Backers invested in your vision deserve to know how things are progressing.
Respond to Communications
Answer backer questions and concerns in a timely manner. Good communication builds trust and community.
Use Funds Appropriately
Spend contributions on your project as described. Backers are trusting you with their money.
What You Must Not Do
Misleading Claims
Don't exaggerate capabilities, make false claims about your background, or use deceptive marketing tactics.
Unrealistic Timelines
Don't promise delivery dates you can't meet. Factor in unexpected delays and be conservative with estimates.
Prohibited Content
No illegal items, weapons, regulated goods, adult content, or anything that violates our Terms of Service.
Spam or Manipulation
Don't create fake accounts, manipulate rankings, or engage in deceptive practices to boost your project.
Ignoring Problems
Don't go silent when things go wrong. Address issues head-on and keep backers informed.
